Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE)

At Charlton Manor Primary School, we use Jigsaw to support our teaching of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), including Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE).

Through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, children learn to understand their feelings, develop positive relationships, respect differences and make informed choices about their health and wellbeing. Learning builds progressively each year through six themes: Being Me in My World, Celebrating Difference, Dreams and Goals, Healthy Me, Relationships and Changing Me.

Our approach encourages children to share their views, ask questions and develop confidence within a caring and inclusive environment. This overview map shows the learning covered in each year group and helps parents and carers support conversations at home.
